This morning, Take-Two Interactive released their earnings report for the quarter ending September 30th, revealing in the process that Borderlands 2 has sold a whopping 5 million copies to date.
Last we heard, Gearbox’s gun-crazy sequel had only moved 1.4 million units during September, but that figure didn’t take into account any downloadable sales. This new one does, as the press release explicitly cites the game’s “strong digital sales.” If that earlier tally was accurate, that means more than two-thirds of the games sales were through the PSN Store and Steam. Not too shabby.
Hopefully all 5 million of those folks are enjoying the game so far, because as Marcus Kincaid would say, “No refunds!”
