Borderlands 2 Live-Action TV Commercial Is Pretty Cheesy, Very Explosive
Posted on September 10, 2012 AT 11:25am
Live-action commercials that depict video games are always an interesting sight to see, and Borderlands 2 doesn’t have any qualms about going over the top. At the very least, the game’s new TV advertisement gets the action right.
It’s a short 30-second spot that features various actors dressed up like main characters Salvador, Maya, Axton, and Zer0, each with an impressively detailed costume.
As the team pulls up in their vehicle, they instantly get into a gunfight with a roaming band of Psychos, with everyone pretty much spraying as many bullets, rockets, and elemental powers as they can.
Expect ads like these to pop up everywhere during this week, as 2K Games’s marketing department continues to push Borderlands 2 anywhere they can. It debuts on PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, and PC on September 18th.
Check out the video below.
(If you like the track, it’s ”What Makes A Good Man?” by The Heavy, which has been getting a lot of airtime recently.)
