Borderlands 2‘s fifth character class, the Mechromancer, is available free to anyone who pre-orders the game, however players who choose not to will also have a chance to get their hands on the class, but they will have to wait awhile.
VG247 has been told by a 2K rep that the class will be available to purchase 60 days after the game’s launch. The Mechromancer is a cyborg who has mastery over all things mechanical and can call a giant “Deathtrap” robot to fight by her side in battle.
Borderlands 2 will be available September 18 in the U.S. and September 21 in Europe for Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC.
