Brand New Sleeping Dogs Screenshots

THE BUZZ: Square-Enix has released a new batch of screenshots for Sleeping Dogs.

Earlier this month Square announced that it would be releasing the recently acquired True Crime: Hong Kong, after previous publisher Activision axed it, under the name of Sleeping Dogs. The game is set for release in the second half of 2012 and is being developed by United Front Games in conjunction with Square Enix London Studio.

EGM’s TAKE: The game doesn’t seem to have changed much since Square-Enix took it over, so fans of the True Crime series shouldn’t fret about the franchise being lost. It appears to be the GTA-style sandbox game that previous True Crime titles were. Obviously those at Square-Enix saw potential in this title that Activision couldn’t, let’s just hope that they were right.
