A new trailer for Square Enix’s upcoming 3DS old-school RPG, Bravely Default, introduces basic premise behind the story as well as the four main characters.

In the game, four young heroes—Agnès, Edea, Tiz, and Ringabel—are thrust into an adventure at the heart of which, evoking memories of classic Final Fantasy games, are four elemental crystals and the threat of dark forces. Also like classic Final Fantasy titles (which Bravely Default effectively is—nostalgic for the “good old days” for those of us reared on the SNES era), Bravely Default’s combat system features 24 character classes for players to choose from.

Bravely Default launches on Nintendo 3DS through eShop and at retailers February 7. A free demo is currently available for download from the eShop.
