Brownie Brown, the developers behind Super Mario 3D Land, have rebranded themselves as “1-Up Studio.”

According to their website, the name change reflects their continued close cooperation with Nintendo.

Brownie Brown was formed in 2000 by a handful of former Square employees. They are currently co-developing 3DS RPG Fantasy Life with Level-5.
