After an unsuccessful Kickstarter campaign for Next Car Game, developer Bugbear has started selling the game via Steam’s Early Access program.
Early Access basically allows players to purchase the game and begin playing it immediately in an alpha or beta state. The Early access version of Next Car Game includes two playable cars and three tracks. A digital deluxe version is also available, which includes an extra car, the game’s soundtrack, and other content that will be “available at a later date.”
“Warning: Early access phase is meant to give you a chance to experience the game as it progresses through its development cycle, and the game is still at an early stage,” the developer wrote. “As such, it does contain missing features and nasty bugs. Developing the game together with the players gives us a lot more creative freedom, and you get to communicate with the development team to make sure we’re making the all-out racing game that you want.”
