Bungie Officially Done With Halo

On their official website, as Bungie Day came to a close and the company celebrated their 20th anniversary, the folks at Bungie noted another important event: the end of their involvement with the Halo series.
“Halo is yours now,” the company said. “In many ways, it always has been. Its new caretakers will strive, just as we did, to be worthy stewards but you have the package. Hold these characters and stories and worlds to the same unflinching standards you did while we were at the helm, but allow them all to blossom and change and grow in the ways that they must.”
From here, the company’s website – Bungie.net – will undergo changes, to take the focus away from Halo as it is now, and to start showing off the new franchise that they’re hard at work on.
Halo playlist management will change hands (to Microsoft, it is assumed) on August 2nd, the same day the company plans to say their parting shots on the last 20 years of the company.
