Destiny

Bungie recently filed five new trademark applications: Glimmer, Fallen, Hive, Cabal, and Vexall of which sound like words associated with Destiny.

The trademarks were filed on March 11, and each word is associated with a handful of expected tie-in materials such as videogames, graphic novels, conventional novels, Halloween costumes, action figures, et cetera.

If memory serves correct, “Cabal” was the name of an aggressive enemy enclave described in one of the play test stories told during Bungie’s Destiny event a month ago. My money’s on these names reflecting the various factions to be found in Destiny.

Destiny is due to release on the PS4, PS3, Xbox 360, and whatever the 360’s successor will be named sometime in 2014.
