Destiny’s beta will begin July 17 on PS3 and PS4 and July 23 on Xbox 360 and Xbox One, developer Bungie revealed today alongside the contents of two collector’s editions and one digital edition.

The betas will both run through July 27, though the PlayStation betas will be interrupted by maintenance on the 21 and 22 leading up to the start of the Xbox betas July 23. Bungie’s also placing special emphasis on user activity July 26 “to leave a high watermark for population on that day.” They’ll be rewarding those who log online the 26 with something “special.”

As for Destiny’s two physical collector’s editions, there’s the $99.99 Limited Edition and the $149.99 Ghost Edition. Both include a limited edition steelbook case for the game disc, a “Guardian Folio” containing a field guide, postcards, and antique star chart, collector’s edition digital content that includes a unique ghost casing, an exclusive player emblem and ship skin, and an expansion pass for “The Dark Below” and “House of Wolves” add-ons. The Ghost Edition will also come with a replica of the Ghost companion (the floating device concerned about wizards from the moon) and a letter of introduction.

For those of you looking to embrace our digital future, Destiny’s Digital Guardian Edition comes with a digital download of the game, of course, “reservation” for the two aforementioned expansions, the CE digital content listed above, and “early access to Vanguard Armory and Player Emblem pre-order bonus.”

Destiny launches across PS4, Xbox One, PS3, and Xbox 360 September 9.
