Wildlife hunting enthusiasts, your relatively niche wilderness games of choice are available on retail store shelves starting today. ‘Just in time for holiday season and unseasonably warm winter, too.

Calebla’s Dangerous Hunts 2013 and Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions—the only Activision franchise to rival Call of Duty in raw longevity—is out today with a couple new tools.

Both titles are compatible with your older gun accessories from past Cabela games, but Dangerous Hunts 2013 shakes things up a bit with a new heart-rate monitoring rifle.

Basically, the more jittery you get while facing off against prides of lions and ravenous packs of wolves, the worse your aim is going to get. Hence, it takes nerves of steel to make it through those encounters alive.

Cabela’s Hunting Expeditions is far more tame. But, it packs in a lot more content.

Instead of going toe-to-toe with animals that realistically wouldn’t engage with you in mortal combat, Hunting Expeditions is the more slow-paced and methodical of the two, giving you huge maps to track, tag, and hunt your prey of choice. Both games are available on three major consoles (PS3, Xbox 360, Wii), so keep an eye out.
