A lot of changes are reportedly coming in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4, but a recent tease assures fans that at least one system could be just like we remember it.
Rumors have suggested that Black Ops 4 will be missing a slew of features, despite one pro player recently dismissing them as fake. Treyarch previously confirmed that the series’ popular Pick Ten loadout system will make its return, and in a subsequent tweet also revealed that the system will indeed include perks and scorestreaks.

No specific scorestreaks are revealed in the image, but we can assume they’ll be in the game in some form based on the two empty scorestreak slots in the bottom right. Moving to top right, the two symbols are fairly obviously Wildcards—variant options for the Pick Ten system. If the symbols match up with those in Black Ops III, at least one of the cards is a Greed card, which allows players to take an additional perk.
As for the perks in the image, we can speculate their functions with some logical deduction. The first perk, with the image of hands climbing a ladder, will likely allow players to mantle faster. This wouldn’t be enough of an effect for an entire perk, so it will presumably have auxiliary functions. Moving to the right, the second perk will almost certainly increase reload speed. The third perk with the Hyena image is a little more mysterious, but one could assume it will have something to do with tracking prey, perhaps manifesting as increased mini-map coverage. It could also involve moving faster while aiming down sights, as the Stalker perk in Modern Warfare 3 uses a similar image. Or, given that hyenas are scavengers, it could signal the return of the perk of that name, though it’s always used the image of a vulture in the past. Finally, the perk with the foot image will presumably increase movement speed or sprint distance, based on its icon’s similarities to those for previous series perks like Lightweight.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is slated to launch October 12th on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Black Ops 4‘s official gameplay reveal will go down on May 17th, when fans should finally learn what the multiplayer actually has in store.
