A new update has been released for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 that makes changes to armor in Blackout.
Following the update, the durability of level two and three armor has been reduced to match level one, the maximum amount of armor plates that can stacked has been reduced to five, and the time required to use an armor plate has been increased to three seconds.
In addition, the damage that the Paladin does to armor has been increased to reduce the amount of shots required to take down enemies wearing level three armor.
“While we’re pleased to see Armor lasting through more than one gunfight with this redesign, we agreed that Level 2 and Level 3 Armor was a bit too durable,” developer Treyarch wrote on Reddit. “With the durability dialed back on these, players should be able to destroy their enemies’ Armor more frequently.
“We’ve reduced how frequently Armor can be repaired by increasing the time required to repair Armor, which will be most noticeable in active gunfights. In a game where an extra second can make all the difference, this change gives aggressors more opportunities to close the distance on enemies as they repair their Armor more slowly than before.”
This update also makes it so weapon camos earned in multiplayer, zombies, and the Black Market can now be equipped in Blackout. Players must visit the new Armory menu prior to a match to equip their chosen camo.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is available now on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
