Call Of Duty: Black Ops Declassified Not Getting Its Own Zombies Mode
Posted on October 7, 2012 AT 02:15pm
Bad news for PS Vita owners looking forward to getting their hands on Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified—there won’t be any zombies mode or zombies campaign. Sorry, you’ll have to settle for normal humans.
That’s the word from Activision community leader Dan Amrich, who broke the news on his PR site:
“Will it have Zombies?” That’s the top question I’ve gotten about the PlayStation Vita-exclusive Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified since it was announced. Unfortunately the official answer is no, but for what strikes me as a decent reason: Multiplayer took priority.
According to Amrich, the limited development resources for the series’ first PS Vita title wanted to hit the most critical benchmarks, and getting multiplayer right was most important.
Strangely enough, there is a “Hostiles Mode” that tasks players with waves and waves of enemies, but they’re just normal guys with guns. Would it have been that much of a stretch to smear some blood on them and slap together some zombies?
