Activision has revealed that its Modern Warfare 3 social online service Call of Duty: Elite has surpassed 12 million registered users since launch.
It should be noted that the service itself is free to register for, so given the number of Call of Duty players this figure isn’t too surprising, the more interesting figure is the number of people who are paying for the service. Elite offers a paid for version of the service which gives free access to all Modern Warfare 3‘s DLC along with several features that free users can’t access. According to Activision, around 2.3 million players have paid the service’s yearly subscription fee.
