Call of Duty: Ghosts will, in fact, be gracing Nintendo’s Wii U, and launching alongside the other versions on November 5, the game’s official Twitter account announced today.
The status of Ghosts‘ Wii U version has vacillated continually over the past few months. Rumor and speculation began when the game was spotted on several online retailer listings. In June, executive producer confirmed that Ghosts was coming to Wii U, but said Infinity Ward and Activision weren’t talking about the Wii U version, saying “we want to keep it mysterious.”
The Wii U version is being handled by both Treyarch and Infinity Ward, according to the aforementioned tweet.
Call of Duty: Ghosts launches on PC, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U for sure November 5. Its Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will launch alongside the consoles themselves.
