A demo version of Call of Duty: Ghosts‘ multiplayer component will be free on Xbox 360 and Xbox One this weekend, according to publisher Activision and developer Infinity Ward.
Ghosts‘ limited trial will begin this Friday, March 7 at 10 a.m. PST (1 p.m. EST) and run through to Monday, March 10. The demo is limited to three multiplayer maps, Strikezone, Warhawk, and Prison Break, and three modes, Search and Rescue, Domination, and Team Deathmatch. Players can also sample the game’s cooperative side via Extinction mode.
Trial players will be placed in their own pool for matchmaking and any progress made will not be carried over to the full version.
Also, from today, March 4, players will be able to purchase four new Personalization Packs on Xbox 360 and Xbox One. Three of the packs include multiplayer skins for Call of Duty villains Vladamir Makarov, Imran Zakhaev, and Gabriel T. Rorke, along with a weapon camo, patch, reticle, playercard, and background, for $3.99 each. While the fourth contains a hazmat suit multiplayer skin for $1.99.
