Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 Demo Hits Xbox Live Marketplace

You’ve begged. You’ve pleaded. You’ve express how much you can’t wait to experience the next chapter of the Call of Duty franchise. So, here it is—a single-player demo for the hot new phenomenon that is Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3.
Wait, hold on—Modern Warfare 3? The Call of Duty game that was released last year? You’re sure this isn’t supposed to be a demo for the upcoming Call of Duty: Black Ops II?
No, it’s no mistake, as Activision has indeed now released a single-player demo for a game that came out nine months ago. I’ve got to say, I find that a little peculiar. It’s certainly better than a demo never coming out, but giving us a demo mere months before the next Call of Duty is set to hit rubs me the wrong way a bit.
What rubs me the wrong way A LOT, on the other hand, is that this demo is only for Xbox Live Gold subscribers. Seriously Microsoft, is this a joke? A single-player demo for a game nine months old, and people who aren’t paying for Xbox Live aren’t good enough to get to try it? Ridiculous.
