Call of Duty

This year’s Call of Duty from Infinity Ward will be a reimagining of the Modern Warfare series simply titled Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, Activision has announced.

Modern Warfare will feature “an emotionally charged and intense campaign” that will focus “on the changing nature of modern war,” according to the publisher.

Players will take on the role of a Tier One operator and fight alongside a diverse cast of special forces and freedom fighters in a number of operations set throughout various European cities and the Middle East. Watch the debut trailer below:

This latest entry will also feature classic multiplayer modes and a collection of cooperative elite operations. Activision is keeping relatively quiet about Modern Warfare’s multiplayer offerings, but did promise that the game will offer “a unified narrative experience and progression across the entire game, including single-player campaign, online multiplayer, and co-op experiences.”

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare launches October 25th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC (Battle.net).
