A recent prediction made by a games analyst firm may be even more spot-on than we thought, as a Call of Duty voice actor recently teased that there is more to come from the franchise’s Black Ops subseries.
Just this week, analyst firm Cowen & Company predicted that Call of Duty: Black Ops IV would be the Call of Duty installment to release at the end of 2018. To add fuel to this fan fire, the voice actor behind Black Ops‘ Sgt. Frank Woods, James C. Burns, recently posted to Twitter that Black Ops fans should relax because he will divulge what he knows about the next title “very soon.” When one fan asked if his tweet had anything to do with Cowen’s Black Ops IV prediction, his response was a little less coy.

Publisher Activision has a quarterly expense report planned for November 2nd, which may be when fans will learn what to expect from next year’s Call of Duty. On the other hand, Burns’ use of words “very soon” could suggest that we may learn something even sooner than that.
Whatever comes in 2018, Call of Duty fans will first be enjoying Call of Duty: WWII, launching November 3rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
