Two classic multiplayer modes were confirmed for Call of Duty: WWII during E3 2017, but a third classic mode was left conspicuously unmentioned.
Team Deathmatch and Domination were playable in Call of Duty: WWII‘s show floor demo over all three days of the conference, but the return of the two modes was initially teased in developer Sledgehammer Games’ pre-E3 livestream after one fan submitted a question about the return of TDM, Domination, and Kill Confirmed. The developers revealed the first two modes would be playable that week, although they did not acknowledge the reference to Kill Confirmed at all (around 25:20).
The developers did claim that the game would support “a variety of beloved game modes,” which Kill Confirmed could very likely be a part of. Considering the mode has been in every iteration of Call of Duty since it was introduced in Modern Warfare 3, fans should expect the mode to make a return.
Other interesting WWII information to come out of the livestream included new details on the game’s Headquarters social space, new details on the game’s War mode, the reveal that diving is being brought back, and more.
Call of Duty: WWII is slated to launch November 3rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
