A recent post to Reddit reveals a flood of upcoming Call of Duty: WWII weapons and their corresponding variants that were allegedly data mined from the game.
Reddit user MossadKilledLilPeep offers up views of 16 new weapons, most of which include variant designs. Thirteen of the new weapons are various classes of firearm—some of which can be found in the game’s single-player campaign—but the remaining three are new melee weapons, including an Icepick, Combat Knife, and Trench Knife. A handful of images from the post can be found below, along with the full list of weapons.
- Gewehr 43
- Type 5
- Beretta 38
- Breda 30
- Winchester 94 Lever Action
- Enfield No. 2
- Walther P38
- Combat Knife
- Trench Knife
In addition to the weapon designs, some collections of images feature the Calling Card players can earn by achieving 500 kills with the respective weapon.
The Reddit post also includes images of new Supply Drop variants purportedly being added to the game, including a Legendary Supply Drop, an Epic Supply Drop, and a Weapon Supply Drop. Presumably, the new weapons will be unlocked randomly through the new Weapon Supply Drops, but nothing is yet confirmed.
Assuming these images are genuine, players can likely expect to see the new content drop in WWII‘s November 21st update. The update will introduce the game’s microtransaction currency, COD Points, which we expect can be used to buy Weapon Supply Drops, in addition to earning the Supply Drops through playing the multiplayer. There’s also the chance some of the weapons will show up in the game’s first expansion, titled The Resistance, on January 30th.
