A new leak from Call of Duty: WWII‘s PC beta has revealed the shooter’s Sweetheart Grips, which players can reportedly use to customize their weapon grips with unique decals.
The term apparently originates from the photos of loved ones soldiers would stick to their weapons during the war, hence the word “sweetheart.” The leak was posted to Reddit by user Imreally2good4u, revealing a hefty 42 different decals. The user expects that the list is not complete, but of the ones we can see, these are a few of our favorites:
As with all leaks, there is no guarantee that the list is legitimate. There is also the possibility that some (or all) of the images have yet to be finalized, but if these are the customization options fans can expect in WWII, they’re a nice change of pace from the hot pink or diamond-encrusted weapon camos of older games.
Previous leaks from the shooter’s PC beta were a bit more substantial, revealing key information about the game’s multiplayer and Zombies survival mode. The developer followed them up with some official content reveals, in an effort to keep the attention off the leaks, but it’s hard to say how much good it did.
Call of Duty: WWII is launching November 3rd on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The game’s live-action trailer recently dropped, but its connections to WWII are minimal.
