THE BUZZ: Capcom has announced some free DLC for Resident Evil: Operation Raccoon City.

A free U.S. Spec Ops mission will be available to download from April 11. The mission sees the Spec Ops team deployed into Raccoon City to learn the truth behind the Resident Evil 2 virus outbreak. The announcement mentions that players will meet a “familiar face” and you will get to see the first time that Jill Valentine encountered Nemesis.

EGM’s TAKE: Almost to prevent a major onslaught of negativity from fans over its Nemesis day one DLC, exclusive to the Xbox 360, Capcom has announced some free DLC to follow shortly thereafter. Fans love free stuff, no matter what it is, so players will be thrilled to retread some old Resident Evil ground and get to see that iconic Nemesis moment that scared (or is it scarred) so many people.
