THE BUZZ: iOS owners will be getting another classic game this month, as Capcom brings an updated version of Mega Man X to the platform.

Based on the cell phone release of the game, Mega Man X for iOS will feature a revised version of Capcom’s classic 16-bit platformer, featuring virtual controls, GameCenter support, and 80 additional challenges.

EGM’s TAKE: While I’m glad to see iOS owners get more quality games, I really shutter at the thought of playing serious platformers with touchscreen-based virtual controls. I picked up Mega Man 2 for my iPhone, and that wasn’t the most pleasing of experiences.

What do you think though? Are you happy to see more games like this come to iOS, or do the lack of physical buttons and d-pads turn you off to such ideas?
