When asked about the future of Onimusha and Dino Crisis, Resident Evil producer Masachika Kawata told VideoGamer that Capcom’s focus right now is on new IPs.
“Capcom has obviously never shied away from bringing back our older IPs to new generations, but I do think it’s more important for us to focus on creating new IP as we move forward,” Kawata told VideoGamer.
This, of course, flies in the face of DmC Devil May Cry and reports of Resident Evil possibly getting the reboot treatment. Then again, we are getting Remember Me. And Lost Planet 3 is the latest title in a new-ish IP.
