Capcom Gets in on the April Foolery with Super Duper Street Fighter 4

Posted on April 1, 2013 AT 02:06pm

Because far be it for Capcom to be left out of today’s holiday tom foolery, the company announced the (fake) Super Duper Street Fighter 4 update today on the Capcom-Unity blog.

The “update” adds “duper combos” to, which can be unleashed as the yellow “Duper Meter” maxes out. Said Duper Meter “builds 1.5 times faster than the normal Super Meter.”

Super Duper Street Fighter 4 will also introduce balance tweaks that “are sure to max out duper meters across the globe.”

“Duper doesn’t begin to describe how thrilled we are to bring this progression of the series to our fans,” wrote Capcom senior product manager Matt Dahlgren. “Super Duper Street Fighter 4 has been a dream of ours for some imd, and that dream is now becoming a super duper reality!”

LOLs all around, Capcom. LOLs.
