THE BUZZ: The Japanese branch of Capcom has revealed an incredibly expensive Premium Edition of Resident Evil 6.

For 105,000 yen (Approximately $1,300), you will get a copy of the game on either PlayStation 3 or Xbox 360, four tablet covers (featuring Chris Redfield, Jake Muller, Leon S. Kennedy and a mystery character) and a replica of Leon S. Kennedy’s jacket in either small, medium, large or extra large.

The Premium Edition will only be available to Club-96 on the e-Capcom website. There is no word, so far, of this edition making it to the West.

Yesterday Capcom released a new trailer for the game, check it out here.

EGM’s TAKE: OK, call us crazy, but we feel that you have some serious issues if you’re willing to throw down $1,300 for a replica of a game character’s jacket. Some special editions of games are expensive, but they offer a lot of items for the price, this really doesn’t seem worth it. We’re still not even sure what these tablet covers are actually for, they don’t look like they would fit our iPads. This one is for the die hard collectors and super fans of Resident Evil. We will be giving this one a pass.

So, hands up, who’s going to buy this? Has Capcom gone too far? Let us know in the comments below.
