Capcom Working on a Fix for Resident Evil 6 PS3 Issues

Capcom has issued a statement letting people know that it is working on a fix for problems that players are having loading the game after purchasing it from the PlayStation Store and updating with the Day One patch.
The problem only seems to be affecting players who purchased the game from the PlayStation Store. Capcom released the following statement to IGN:
“Essentially it is recognized that some consumers who downloaded the game from the PSN store pre-loaded (pre-order) or within the early hours of launch may be experiencing problems booting up the game. In short, early purchasers who tried to download the game from PSN store may have seen an error message, after they downloaded the day 1 patch.”
Capcom also offered a temporary workaround for the issue, stating that people should “un-install the game (only if they originally saw an error message) and re-install the game. You won’t be prompted to download the patch and the game will load.”
While the fix works it does mean that players will be unable to play online with people who have the disc version until a fix is offered and they can download the patch.
