If you’re making a game about exploring a vampire’s castle, Halloween’s probably the best day of the year to promote it. Konami must think so too, as they’ve just unveiled a new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate.

The two minute promo features brand new footage of the 3DS exclusive alongside such scary sights as a disembodied, presumably haunted stylus and unnecessarily dramatic text about the game’s features. Someone needs to explain to me what the difference between “extreme platforming” and normal platforming is.

Regardless, it’s definitely worth a watch for the final 10 seconds alone. I won’t spoil anything here, but there’s a throwback to classic Castlevania that’s bound to give you some serious fanboy chills.

If you’re making a game about exploring a vampire’s castle, Halloween’s probably the best day of the year to promote it. Konami must think so too, as they’ve just unveiled a new trailer for Castlevania: Lords of Shadow – Mirror of Fate.
