MercurySteam, developer behind the Castlevania: Lords of Shadow titles, has recently updated their website to tease a new project.

The teaser consists of the above image, which shows a cigar-smoking man controlling some form of mechanized contraption. The image also includes text that reads, “STATUS: Exploring new worlds, fighting strange creatures, discovering new heroes. Expect news soon.” One could logically deduce from these clues that the game will be based in a sci-fi setting, unlike the studio’s previous two games.

There is no further information on the game at the moment?not even a title or intended platforms?but any future announcements will likely be posted on the studio’s official website.

Nick didn’t start gaming until mid-2006. Once his parents finally allowed a console into the house, it was all uphill from there. Starting out with a PS2, he grew an affinity for Sony consoles and moved on to the PS3, and now the PS4. He keeps his gaming palette wide, but, gun to his head, he’d have to say shooters are his genre of choice. Find him on Twitter @idole808
