CD Projekt Red has announced that despite none of The Witcher series having multiplayer features its upcoming game Cyberpunk 2077 will.
“It will be a story-based RPG experience with amazing single-player playthroughs, but we’re going to add multiplayer features,” managing director Adam Badowski told Eurogamer. When asked if this would carry over to The Witcher 3 he replied, ”We’re thinking about something.”
Rumors of multiplayer in Cyberpunk 2077 started last year when the developer advertised for a multiplayer programmer, however, CD Projekt Red just brushed it off at the time stating that it was simply experimenting.
