Pokemon Go

The Pokémon Company has announced that Pokémon Go players will be able to catch a special Pikachu for a limited time to celebrate Pokémon Day.

From February 26th at 1:00 p.m. PST until March 6th at 1:00 p.m. PST, any Pikachu encountered will be wearing a festive party hat.

“The Pikachu you catch during that time will keep its party hat forever, so be sure to look for this special Pikachu during its short time in the wild,” the company adds.

Last week, developer Niantic released a major update for Pokémon Go that added 80 new Pokémon from the Johto region, introduced new berries and avatar items, and more.

Pokémon Go is available now as a free download on iOS and Android devices.
