Ion Cannon
THE BUZZ: SteelSeries have announced plans to release a new controller that will work for PCs, tablet computers, and mobile devices.
Dubbed the SteelSeries Ion Wireless Controller, this PlayStation 3-ish controller is about the size of a deck of cards, and just as light, with a rechargeable battery that’s supposed to last twenty hours. All of which makes it a good travel companion.
The Ion will be released in late summer, though a price was not disclosed.
EGM’S TAKE: Although it’s no surprise that as mobile games get more popular, that more accessories to help you game on those platforms would show up. But if it’s about the size of a deck of cards, I hope you have really tiny thumbs.
