THE BUZZ: SteelSeries have announced that they’ll release two new PC-compatible headsets this spring or early summer.
The SteelSeries Flux headsets are compatible with PCs, Macs, and mobile devices, and not only include two input jacks for lefties and righties, as well as cable connections for an in-line, uni-directional mic with mute controls, but they also fold up easily for traveling.
They’re also releasing the SteelSeries Siberia V2 Frost Blue, which have noise-dampening leather cushioned cups, a retractable mic, and customizable lighting effects.
No prices were announced for either headset.
EGM’S TAKE: While people seem to like ear buds when they listen to music, we prefer the big cup style, as they typically produce better sound. Which, of course, makes it easier to hear someone sneaking up behind you in [insert your favorite multiplayer game here].
