Treyarch has revealed a number of changes that it will be making to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4′s Blackout battle royale mode following observations and feedback from the currently ongoing beta.

To start with, the developer is aware that picking up items can be little cumbersome, so the decision has been made “to make pickup speeds as fast as possible without interfering with reloading.” Treyarch notes that PC players will be able to map keys to instantly pick up items.

Changes are also being made to how the Quick Menu works to avoid players getting stuck in it and being unable to perform actions. An update to Blackout that is due to go live later today will make it so the Quick Menu auto-closes after five seconds of inactivity and prevents the Quick Menu from being opened while using the Recon Car.

Treyarch is also keeping an eye on armor and friendly fire, but will not be making any changes for now.

The Blackout beta is available now on PlayStation 4 for players who have preordered Black Ops 4, with Xbox One and PC players able to get involved on September 14th.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 launches October 12th for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
