Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six

The second season of Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege brings the country of Italy into the mix, with two new operators and one new map hailing from the Mediterranean region.

Operation Para Bellum‘s two new Defender operators come from the Italian CTU, and while we can catch a glimpse of them in the expansion’s title image below, they’re too far away to pick out any details of what they’ll bring to the game. More evident in the image is the expansion’s new map, which looks to be a massive Italian villa.

In addition to playable content, Siege‘s next expansion will introduce a new Pick and Ban system. This pre-match system allows Siege players to secure select operators while banning others in an attempt to tip the match’s character strategy in their favor. The expansion’s announcement post doesn’t specify how ubiquitous the system will be, but it will presumably be exclusive to the game’s Ranked matchmaking.

The full reveal of Operation Para Bellum will go down in a livestream during the Rainbow Six Siege Pro League Finals on May 19th and 20th. Fans can catch the livestream on Siege‘s official Twitch channel.

In other Rainbow Six Siege news, the shooter was recently hit with a sizable patch, introducing a wide array of balance changes and bug fixes.
