JRPG-inspired Child of Light is launching across PC and consoles April 30, Ubisoft revealed today by way of a new trailer.
Child of Light tells the story of Aurora and her advenure in the magical world of Lemuria as she quests to stop the Dark Queen. The dev team describes Child of Light as “a playable poem,” and an homage to both JRPGs and the golden age of illustration. As shown in the trailer, Child of Light features turn-based combat, an extensive skill tree system, and a crafting system with over 600 combinations to boost abilities.
Leading the development charge for Child of Light are Patrick Plourde, director of Far Cry 3, and Jeffrey Yohalem, who won the Writers Guild of America Award for his work on Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood.
Child of Light is coming to Windows PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS3, Xbox 360, and Wii U as a downloadable title priced at $14.99.
