Square Enix has revealed its plans for the PC port of Chrono Trigger.

“We have been working on addressing the issues that you’ve raised, and will be releasing a number of patches over the coming months as we continue to support Chrono Trigger on Steam,” a Steam post reads.

The first of three planned patches for the game will arrive in the first half of this month and includes an option to switch between the current high-resolution graphics and the original graphical style of Chrono Trigger. A full list of changes will be shared once the update is ready.

Square Enix also announced that it is extending the availability of the game’s Limited Edition until April 30th due to these planned patches.

Chrono Trigger made a surprise appearance on PC last month, but was not well received by players. Players were quick to complain about the PC version’s graphics and performance due to it being a port of the mobile release.
