NCsoft has revealed its final plans for City of Heroes, revealing that there will be pre-shutdown events and also refunds offered for certain purchases.

Anyone who had VIP status as of September 1 will be automatically granted VIP status for the remainder of the game’s life, unfortunately any player who has let their subscription lapse will be unable to renew. Any subscription fees paid after September 1 and all Paragon Points purchased after August 24 will be fully refunded.

It’s not the best of news, but at least it’s some news.
