Firaxis Games has revealed a few of the improvements that will be included in Civilization VI‘s spring update.

According to lead designer Anton Strenger, the update will improve the loyalty system by introducing religion into it. Following the update, cities that follow the player’s religion will get a loyalty bonus, but those that follow a different religion will suffer from a loyalty penalty. As well as this, Firaxis is answering the call from players and adding more turtles to the map.

England is also getting a little love following its heavy nerf with an update to Queen Victoria’s Pax Britannica leader bonus that will grant a free unit when the civ settles a city on a new continent and another when the Royal Navy Dockyard is built in that city.

Other changes include social policy and government balance adjustments, new rules for joint wars, and new Historic Moments.

More information about the update, along with a release date will be shared “soon.”
