THE BUZZ: Epic Games’ Cliff Bleszinski expressed upset by the 8/10 review scores that have been given to Gears of War 3.

In a recent interview with VG247, Bleszinski was asked how the review scores for Gears of War 3 were doing to which he replied, “Doing great, apart from a couple of haters.” When asked to elaborate on the “haters” he pointed to Eurogamer’s 8/10 review of the game.

“You know, I didn’t quite gather it. I don’t want to come across as defensive, how do I phrase this properly? When people rated Gears 2 higher than Gears 3, it kind of upset me because I know Gears 3 is a better game on every level.”

EGM’s TAKE: Most developers would be over the moon with an 8/10 score, but it shows what perfectionists Epic Games and Cliff truly are, and we respect that. We recently gave it a 10/10 review score showing that we had nothing but love for the game.
