Cliffy B Congratulates Naughty Dog, Talks Dark Souls

THE BUZZ: Cliffy B—aka Cliff Bleszinski, famed game designer and father of titles such as Gears of War—had a few interesting comments today about games having nothing to do with either him or his company Epic.

First up was a note of congratulations he sent out to the team at Naughty Dog for the reviews Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception has been getting:

Gratz to Naughty Dog on the OUTSTANDING Uncharted 3 reviews. As if we ever doubted y’all. #covershootersFTW

Then, a comment I personally found interesting, as I’m also a big fan of the game:

Thus far Dark Souls is tickling parts of my gamer brain that haven’t been tickled in a damned long time.

EGM’s TAKE: Sometimes fans of video games like to believe that creators of video games are always against each other—in reality, they love playing games just like the rest of us. Nice shout-out from CliffyB to Naughty Dog, and glad to see him enjoying Dark Souls!
