Club Nintendo Selling Real ‘Golden’ Mario Kart Trophies In Europe
Posted on July 12, 2012 AT 02:34pm
Even though they’re (probably) not made of real gold, these pieces from Club Nintendo look good enough that all you non-European Mario Kart fans should be offended they’re not available elsewhere.
No, really, you can’t get these.
But everyone else in the UK and surrounding areas is in luck. Club Nintendo via Nintendo Europe’s has a Leaf, Shell, and “Special” Trophy for the taking online, especially if you’ve been good about registering your purchases.
MyNintendoNews relays the image above thanks to Australian website Vooks, and the set pieces certainly are pretty. Unfortunately, there’re also not very cheap.
According to the official catalogue listing, each trophy costs a whopping 5000 “Stars” of digital currency. Club Nintendo in America uses “coins,” but there’s no such offer from their website.
Bummer. Perhaps it’s time to start hitting up Nintendo of America’s Twitter page and demanding a similar offer.
