Codemasters is currently holding a secret GRID playtest, according to an update on the series’ official Twitter account.

The tweet simply shows a door with the word “Playtest” taped to it, along with the caption “Shhhhh secrets.” GRID 2 released May last year, 5 years after the original, so it seems a little early to be planning another entry in the franchise. This leaves two other options: new DLC for the game or an Xbox One and PlayStation 4 release—the latter seems more likely.

The developer has previously stated that it is currently working on two racing games. One of these is believed to be F1 2014 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, and PC, while the other is expected to be a new entry in the DiRT franchise.
