THE BUZZ: A number of new games are set to be revealed at the upcoming Video Game Awards show, one of which is said to be a totally new franchise for BioWare.

While not much is known yet about the project, Spike TV’s GTTV host Geoff Keighley revealed on Twitter today that the project will be coming from a new BioWare studio, and not one already knows as part of the company.

EGM’s TAKE: So the question now is this: Will this be another flavor of RPG, or could it instead be a completely new genre? For a studio known for their RPG projects, what angle could a new IP take? We’ve already got fantasy, Asian-centric, and sci-fi, so where to next? RPG set in the wild west? Modern-day setting? Epic 100-hour cross-promotional project with ABC for Pan Am: The RPG?
