Corpse Party: Book of Shadows Gets Release Date, Launch Trailer
Posted on January 8, 2013 AT 10:40am
The follow-up to 2011′s macabre Japanese PSP horror game Corpse Party was announced for English release last month, and today, Corpse Party: Book of Shadows both got an official release date and a launch trailer.
Am I excited for Book of Shadows? Yes, oh yes. I absolutely loved the first game, and its ability to provide seriously disturbing situations even though its gameplay and presentation were often very basic.
Also, to be clear: this isn’t Corpse Party 2. An official sequel is out in Japan, and has yet to be announced for our shores. Book of Shadows is a continuation of sorts to the original game, one that plays off of one of the first game’s specific endings. As well, Book of Shadows is more of a graphical adventure, and, as such, does not feature some of the elements that were in the first—such as direct control of characters and moving around through environments.
Corpse Party: Book of Shadows hits on January 15th as a download via the North American PlayStation Store. The game will sell for $19.99, and will be playable on both the PSP and PlayStation Vita.
