Chariot, a 2D co-op platformer with physics-based puzzle-solving, is coming to PS4 this fall, developer Frima Studio announced today on the PlayStation Blog.
As an unnamed princess and her fiancé, players are tasked with transporting the remains of her kingly father to a resting place buried deep within labyrinthian caves by pushing, pulling, riding, and reeling the titular chariot through various environments. Along the way, under the demand of the king’s ghost, the princess and her fiancé are asked to nab any stray treasure they come across in order to bury the king with riches. Deviating from these main paths are where Chariot’s cooperative strategizing come into play, according to executive producer Martin Brouard.
Brouard also pointed out that while a great deal of emphasis and design was made with two players in mind, Chariot is not without a single-player option.
Frima has yet to set a formal release date, but expects to get Chariot on PS4 this fall.
