Could Resident Evil 6 Be Set in China?

THE BUZZ: With all of the rumors and speculation going around about Resident Evil 6, there’s a new possible tidbit to throw onto the pile—one concerning the game’s potential settings.
Gaming fan site The Silent Chief uncovered quite an interesting inclusion on the resume of Chinese voice actress Wendy Mok. Having recently played an “Islander” in Techland’s Dead Island, Mok included another video game-related part she’s played—that of “Chinese Villager/Zombie” for Resident Evil 6.
EGM’s TAKE: While this isn’t proof that RE6 will see a major or minor portion of its storyline take place in China, it sure is an interesting hint as to what we may be in store for. While the resume of one voice actor isn’t proof positive, countless elements in the gaming industry have been revealed before via such minor mistaken postings of information.
The timing of this find is also interesting, given that just days ago another voice actor—Joe Cappelletti—listed “Resident Evil 6″ on his online resume as well. You’d really think that, at this point, game developers would be certain to warn voice actors of when they can or can’t reveal work they’ve done on an unannounced upcoming game.
Also, I have to say—I’d love to see China used as a setting for the game. There’s a lot that could be done with the idea.
