Crackdown 3 developer Reagent Games has narrowed down the title’s 2016 launch window.
During an interview with IGN, Director Dave Jones clarified that the game will in fact be launching sometime in the summer of that year.
The third-person shooter is the long-awaited continuation of an Xbox 360 franchise that helped redefine scale and verticality in open-world games. Crackdown 3 hopes to continue that tradition by introducing an online mode with a 100% destructible city powered by the Xbox One’s cloud computing functionality. The feature was shown off earlier this week at Microsoft’s Gamescom 2015 press conference.
Crackdown 3 will be available exclusively for Xbox One.
